When they fashioned the shade of the Buri Bulb Small pendant from coarse Buri midribs, the artisans created such a close-knit structure, the surface has a moiré pattern. The material is harvested from palm trees native to the Philippines and handcrafted by weavers who live in villages along the coast. Their skills stem from the fish-net-tying traditions of the area.
